Hi folks,
I've been busy with some stuff so not too much going on with my mods, but i did manage to produce this little ditty here:
Pacman.
Might seem easy... And it was.
Only tricky bit was to have the mouth move the way it should.
So had to figure out how Maru had the legs move on his soldiers... and my parking officer...
And I think I got it now. It's pure genius of Maru to have come up with that by the way.
Not sure if he was the first, but he's definitely on to it. Same with this Gundam Z airplane I found the other day. Fantastic how these guys can make an actual transformer, actually moving the way it's supposed to do. Think that was Buta btw off the top of my head.
But anyhoo, you guys enjoy flying pacman.
Oh and he doesnt have any weapons of course, you're supposed to fly into objects thereby 'eating' them. Pac's strength is 5000. Should be enough.

Parking trouble
Hi peeps,
Hope you enjoy this next release: a Parking Officer!
Obviously you can try and 'fly' this repaint of Maru's soldier, but armed with only a ticket issueing device you can do little more but psychological damage to your victims.
So, while that may amuse some of you, the intended enjoyment lies in the map and two ground objects that I've added in this release:
- Hogtown 2: overrun with parking officers and tow trucks
- a parking officer ground object
- a tow truck
Yes, now it's your turn to ruin the day of our uniformed nemesis, the parking officer!
And of course their companions: the tow trucks!
Have fun people and break a leg!

Spaceman Spiff!
Blast to the 5th dimension with space explorer extraordinaire Spaceman Spiff!
Yes, now you can feel what its like to be our valiant hero yourself with his wonderful red flying saucer!
For those of you unlucky souls unfamiliar with Spaceman Spiff I would like to direct you to Bill Waterson's fantastic Comic books of Calvin and Hobbes, which are simply the best ever drawn. And for a taste of Spaceman Spiff: http://www.rabittooth.com/calvinspiff.htm
That'll show you what Spiff is all about!
No time to waste! With a top speed 15 parsecs a seconds you will command the universe and easily warp distances to elude evil Zargs and other disgusting scum beings!
You have vectoring thurst of course, but no need to worry about much flying control since Spiff generally crashlands his plane.
Now, Spiff has a handheld blaster as his sidearm, but to further flying pleasure I have added some armament to this release. Just be sure to press 'flaps' before firing any weapons! Also have a good look at Spiff's facial expression as you turn on the hyperdrive Afterburner!
Have fun!

Pigs!
Thought you'd seen everything?
Look again!
Pigs can fly you see.
I know, I've made some.
In this post you can find the download link for a package that includes a map of Hogtown, some angry flying pigs, and the possibility to save humankind.
See, pigs could fly all along, they just never found out how. Until now. After mastering the art of flight a collective consciousness developed that enabled the pigs to organise an assault on civilisation as we know it.
Years of animal rights neglect and exploitation of pigs have made the pigs rather annoyed with the humans, and the day of reckoning has come! But we can't let that happen of course. And fortunately we are here to stop the slaughter!
We are flying the J-10 Pigkiller, an aircraft exceptionally suitable for hunting flying pigs. Being a member of 'Fatfighter' squadron based near hogtown you are now being called upon to do your duty!
Curious?
Download the hogs at:

PS, there's a readme file included in the zip file, so please do read the instructions that will tell you how to install this latest addition to the wonderful world of YS Flight.

OV-10 Bronco
Hi Everyone!
It's finally time to release my most exciting project so far, the OV-10 Bronco!
I have modified the original plane from 2ch's GAC pack, namely the Indonesian OV-10, and completed 5 different versions of the OV-10, all from US armed forces.
As you might know, there is a very interesting version of the OV-10 that carries a gun turret on its belly, and of course I have included that in my release. After having searched for some photos of the OV-10 I found there were a whole lot of interesting camoflage patterns to do with the OV-10, so I chose the more interesting ones for my release.
On the original plane there were some irregularities in the polygons overlapping, and I've repaired most of them, and more importantly I've added flaps, a cockpit, ailerons, elevators, and rudders. Some pilots, a FLIR in those models, and I've adjusted the shape of the nose to a more realistic look. I also redid the gears, but not the gear doors. I might give them a shot later on, but on the other hand I might just skip that and go on to some new planes. So far this mod has really taught me a lot about YS programming.
I have given the USAF and CAMO versions some extra fuel tanks on the wings and belly, but if you prefer to put some ordnance on those hardpoints just go to the DNM viewer and undo the STA value from 1 to 0. That will render them invisible, and gives you space to adjust the DAT files to make them weapon points.
Anyway, enough talk, time to fly!

Cayuse Gunship
I have just updated the zip file for my Cayuse modification for you guys.
It now has 2 extra versions of the OH-6 Cayuse helicopter, and I'm sure you'll appreciate them!
The first is a gunship armed with a minigun on the port side, and a small rocketpod (7 rkts) on the right.
The second is an alltogether more heavily armed chopper with a grenade launcher turret mounted on the front, and two large rocket pods (19 rkts) on the sides.
The first I modelled on a plastic model kit I'd built ages ago when I was a kid and I still remember well. The second I've modelled on a fascinating picture I discovered on the internet:
The download is here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/39923043/f8f2f9bd/cayuse.html
And just overwrite the files if you've already downloaded the first release.
Again, the original model is from Jin's planes (link on the right here), and the cockpit and pilots are from CEP's Littlebird (again linked on the right).
Happy flying!

OH-6 Cayuse
That's right! I've finally figured out how to mod airplanes!
Tampering with ground objects made me realise I could do the same with airplanes, and by having some good looks at DNM's and SRF's, together with the awesome tutorial available on YS Pilots, I was able to mod Jin's OH-6 Helicopter.
He'd already made a frame with solid windows, in the shape of an MD-500 Defender, which is a later version of the Cayuse. The OH-6 has always been one of my favourite helicopters, as well as the great AH-6 Littlebird (modelled by CEP), so this would be a good simple try out to see how to mod. And it's suprisingly straight forward once you've got the hang of it!
Basically I changed the tailfins, which is easy, and added a cockpit. The cockpit I got from the AH-6 littlebird, and I had to just fit it in the frame, together with slightly altering the pilots, and colours. Then I had to add the transparent windows of course, which was explained in the tutorial.
Now, it doesn't have any markings yet, but later releases will. Also I am already well underway with 2 gunship versions, which will be released soon. These will have improved cockpits as well.
I have started another project I am doing simultaneously, which I won't reveal too much about, except that it's also a Vietnam era Forward Air Controller. Very exciting stuff (for me at last... My girlfriend is starting to really dislike my newfound hobby, since I tend to forget the whole world around me while working on my projects).
For now anyway, have fun with the
